Day 3

We had an amazing race today. We went to the Clementi Police Post, the permanant site of the SST campus, the Clementi Swimming Complex, Big Bookshop and block 437. We did different activities at each station. At the Police Post, we had to answer some questions on crime prevention. We took a class photo at the permanant site of SST and the Big Bookshop. At the Swimming Complex, we had to solve a very tricky puzzle. Marcus had done it before, so he was the hero of that station. At block 437, we had to solve some maths puzzles. We were told that we were the 1st team to arrive but the 6th team to finish the race. At least we finished the race. I learnt that learning cannot be contained within school, we can learn outside boundaries. it is good because this can help expand our learning boundaries.

My reflections

This is the first day at SST, and I have had lots of fun. We had a bridge building activity that required us to build a bridge. The activity was to promote teamwork and allow us to get to know my friends better. We couldn't decide on some things at first, but soon came to a conclusion and worked together to build the bridge. We built a bascule bridge(something like a draw bridge). Our bridge wasn't very nice, we started very slow, but picked up the pace soon after. It was mainly Hao Yang who did the job, he gave the suggestions and built it himself. I'm very glad SST planned this activity, because I got to learn a bit about physics and also made new friends. I hope that there will be more of such activities later in the week.
